The International Business Education & Research MBA (IBEAR MBA) is a top-ranked one-year, accelerated international program for mid-career professionals.

Diversity is key in the IBEAR MBA program. Each year experienced professionals from 11-15 countries come together to create a unique global classroom setting where participants learn not just from USC Marshall’s award-winning faculty but also from each other. Our participants tend to have anywhere from 6 to 25 years of work experience, and come from a wide swath of professions ranging from business and industry to non-profit and government. Many are married and attend the program with their families. Our small class size fosters closer interpersonal relationships and greater opportunities for cross-cultural learning. It is this diversity combined with our participants’ depth of experience that makes the IBEAR MBA unique and distinguishes it from other MBA programs.

IBEAR MBA Highlights:

  • Scholarships (IBEAR Global Business Fellow Award) of up to $45,000 available for highly-qualified individuals.
  • Rent subsidies of $9,000/year for single apartments and $15,000/year for family apartments, about a 50% subsidy.
  • International Business Consulting Projects (IBCP) is the capstone course of the program. Over a 4-month period, teams of 5-6 participants work with a client to solve one of its important business challenges.
  • A 10-day international business trip is a required component of the IBEAR Program; paid for by the program. The 2015 international experiential learning program, “Doing Business in Southeast Asia,” brought the class to Jakarta and Bangkok (October 8-18).
  • Two 3-day domestic trips to key business cities in the United States each year as part of our experiential learning program, “Doing Business in the United States.” The IBEAR program pays for the cost of travel and hotel.
  • Personalized career development services are accessible to all self-sponsored participants. Given the small class size, the career advisor is able to work closely with each individual participant.
  • Graduates earn the prestigious USC Marshall MBA degree because USC Marshall faculty lead all modules
