2014 USA Tours: Benefit Music Concerts with Plus Three Band
The Network of Myanmar American Association (NetMAA) is proud to sponsor and bring one of the most popular music bands, Plus Three Band, from Myanmar to the U.S. accompanied by very well-known famous singers J Maung Maung, Htun Aeindra Bo, Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein, and Chan Chan. Over the years, Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein has perhaps become best known for her electric performances across Myanmar, prompting critics to hail her as the Lady Gaga of Myanmar. The group will leave Yangon on the 2nd week of May for two months to perform at concerts throughout the United States including Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, New York, and Fort Wayne, Indiana where most Burmese Americans live.
All proceeds of the 2014 music concerts will go to community outreach programs. NetMAA holds various programs throughout the year to benefit the Myanmar-American community, including several arts and culture events, a film festival, photo exhibitions, concerts, a Labor Day weekend excursion (the Annual Myanmar Families Adventure), and U.S. Immigration service assistance.
NetMAA is a non-profit, non-partisan, and non-political organization, founded in early 2006. NetMAA is entirely run by volunteers and operates under the provision of Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Code. NetMAA’s vision and mission are to support and promote education, social issues, Myanmar (Burmese) arts, and culture in the United States. NetMAA’s goal is to educate the Myanmar (Burmese) community about our rich cultural heritage and build bridges of friendships with other diverse communities.
