The Annual Myanmar Film Festival of Los Angles is a fine example of a community-based exhibition. While the Myanmar (Burmese) American Film Festival, now in its third year, is marked by steady success, although it’s not a player yet in the cinema circuit in South East Asian communities in the United States. But that’s okay. The intense seems to be sparking local dialogue; and with it, the Festival excels.
