The Network of Myanmar American Association (NetMAA) is pleased to announce the publication of a statistical report for Burmese Americans in the United States printed on October 2012. The report is written by Aung M. Naing who was a chair for the Burmese Complete Count Committee. The first historic Burmese Complete Count Committee (BCCC) and U.S. Census Bureau have formed a partnership in December 23, 2008 to obtain a complete count in year 2010 U.S. Census for the Burmese (Myanmar) population and improve access to community resources that benefit the Burmese-American Communities in the United States.
Each year, the United States Congress allocates 50,000 immigrant visas in the Diversity Visa (DV) category. Foreign nationals who are native of countries determined by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) are eligible to apply each year.
