Helping Desperately Needed People in Myanmar
The people of Myanmar need our help. It has been more than five months since February 1, 2021, military coup. Since then, the military has killed more than 873 peaceful protesters and arrested 5,045 according to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners Burma (AAPPB).
Myanmar was plunged into crisis on February 1 when the military arrested elected leader Aung San Suu Kyi and members of the ruling National League for Democracy and took power for themselves. The coup triggered a Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) and mass protests around the country to which security forces have responded with increasing violence. The coronavirus pandemic, coupled with the instability following a military coup in February, could plunge almost half of Myanmar’s population into poverty, reversing economic gains made over the last 16 years, according to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
We are targeting $10,000 for this fundraising and dividing money equally to these non-profit organizations in Myanmar.

Myanmar Kitchen: Emergency Food Assistance Program and Clean Water Supply Program (US $5,000)
- Emergency Food Assistance Program: Due to the current political situation in Myanmar, many workers, who live on daily wages, have lost their jobs and unable to provide for their families. Myanmar Kitchen prepares and distributes 300 meals a day to people in urgent need. With only $7, you can feed a kid for One Week in HlaingThaya Township, Yangon.
- Clean Water Supply Program: Myanmar Kitchen creates a clean water supply system for residents of labor settlements by creating a tube well deep enough to reach a clean water deposit. The ideal depth as per our experience is 250~300’. By the installation of a water pump, installation of the overhead water storage tank, and plumbing from the storage tank to houses, Myanmar Kitchen has successfully completed 4 clean water systems in some pilot locations and brought clean water to 400 households.
Fallen Heroes Fund Myanmar – Spring Revolution (US $5,000)
As described above, the military has killed significant numbers of peaceful protestors and we will always remember our fallen heroes. Fallen Heroes Fund Myanmar makes a monthly donation to the families of the fallen heroes in the Spring Revolution.
We assure you that 100% of all money raised will go to Myanmar families who are needed in humanitarian assistance.
